Nothing gets me more excited than a freshly baked pizza! Whether it’s a simple Margherita or loaded with toppings, it’s the ultimate crowd-pleaser and always a good time.
Homemade Margherita Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 pre-made pizza dough ball
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced or shredded
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Pinch of salt
Steps
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll or stretch pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Carefully transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Arrange mozzarella slices over the sauce.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned. Remove from oven.
- Top with fresh basil leaves, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Slice and serve hot.
