Today is a cheerful day and I’m ready for a sweet treat! Warm churros with a rich chocolate dipping sauce always makes me smile.

Quick Churros

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour
  • Water
  • Butter
  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Chocolate chips
  • Milk

Steps

  1. For churros: In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in flour until a dough ball forms.
  2. Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip. Pipe strips of dough directly into hot oil (about 350°F/175°C) and fry until golden brown.
  3. Drain on paper towels, then immediately roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  4. For chocolate sauce: Gently melt chocolate chips with a splash of milk in a microwave or double boiler, stirring until smooth. Serve churros with warm chocolate sauce.
