Simple Home-Style Chicken Curry
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 lb chicken thighs, diced
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup water
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Steps
- Heat oil in a pot. Sauté onion until golden. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
- Add chicken and brown. Stir in turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala; cook for 2 minutes.
- Add crushed tomatoes and water. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 20-25 minutes until chicken is tender.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or naan.
