Pan-Seared Steak Frites
Ingredients
- 2 sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- Fresh rosemary sprigs
- 2 large potatoes, cut into fries
- Salt, pepper
Steps
- Season steaks generously with salt and pepper.
- Fry potatoes for frites until golden and crispy; keep warm.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over high heat. Sear steaks 2-3 min per side.
- Add butter, garlic, rosemary; baste steaks as they finish cooking to desired doneness.
- Rest steaks 5 min before slicing. Serve with frites.
