Classic Homemade Hummus

15 minutes • Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2-3 tbsp cold water
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil and paprika for garnish

Steps

  1. Combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic in a food processor.
  2. Process until smooth, gradually adding cold water 1 tablespoon at a time until desired creamy consistency is reached.
  3. Season with salt to taste. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika. Serve with warm pita bread or fresh vegetables.
