Classic Homemade Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2-3 tbsp cold water
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil and paprika for garnish
Steps
- Combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic in a food processor.
- Process until smooth, gradually adding cold water 1 tablespoon at a time until desired creamy consistency is reached.
- Season with salt to taste. Transfer to a serving bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika. Serve with warm pita bread or fresh vegetables.
