Quick Ful Medames

15 minutes • Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 can fava beans (ful medames)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Salt, cumin, and chili powder to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse and drain fava beans. Place them in a saucepan and gently heat.
  2. Mash the beans lightly with a fork.
  3. Stir in olive oil, lemon juice, parsley, salt, cumin, and chili powder.
  4. Serve warm with pita bread and sliced tomatoes.
