Creamy Stovetop Mac and Cheese
Ingredients
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper
Steps
- Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter, then whisk in flour to make a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth; cook until thickened.
