Decadent Chocolate Lava Cake
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease and flour two 6-ounce ramekins.
- Melt butter and chocolate together in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until pale and thick. Gently fold in the melted chocolate mixture and then the flour until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly between the ramekins. Bake for 12-14 minutes, until edges are set but the center is still soft. Invert onto plates and dust with powdered sugar.
