I love trying new things, and when I’m feeling curious about global flavors, a fresh falafel wrap is always a delicious adventure. It’s so flavorful!

Homemade Falafel Wraps

45 minutes • Medium

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 4 large pita breads
  • Tahini sauce and chopped tomatoes/cucumbers for topping

Steps

  1. Combine chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, onion, and cumin in a food processor. Pulse until coarsely ground but not pureed.
  2. Form mixture into small patties or balls. Fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Warm pita breads. Spread with tahini sauce.
  4. Fill pita with falafel, chopped tomatoes, and cucumbers. Serve immediately.
