Sometimes all you need is a classic grilled cheese sandwich. It’s simple, warm, and always brings a sense of calm.

Ingredients

  • Slices of bread (sourdough or white)
  • Cheddar cheese slices
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Steps

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  2. Place cheese slices between the unbuttered sides of the bread.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the pan, butter-side down.
  4. Cook for 3-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey. Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.
