Classic Horiatiki Salata (Greek Salad)
Ingredients
- 2 large ripe tomatoes, cut into wedges
- 1 cucumber, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup Kalamata olives
- 4 oz block feta cheese, crumbled or cubed
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- Dried oregano and salt to taste
Steps
- Combine tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and Kalamata olives in a large bowl.
- Add feta cheese to the vegetables.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Pour dressing over the salad.
- Toss gently to combine. Sprinkle generously with dried oregano. Serve immediately.
