A vibrant Greek salad always leaves me feeling refreshed and light, especially on a warm day. It’s simple, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying.

Classic Horiatiki Salata (Greek Salad)

15 minutes • Easy

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • 1 cucumber, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives
  • 4 oz block feta cheese, crumbled or cubed
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • Dried oregano and salt to taste

Steps

  1. Combine tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and Kalamata olives in a large bowl.
  2. Add feta cheese to the vegetables.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Pour dressing over the salad.
  4. Toss gently to combine. Sprinkle generously with dried oregano. Serve immediately.
