Simple Lamb Kofta
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Wooden skewers (if grilling)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly by hand until well combined.
- Form the mixture into small oval patties or shape them around wooden skewers.
- Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat, or a skillet with a little oil over medium heat.
- Cook kofta for 3-5 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through.
- Serve hot with rice, pita bread, or a fresh salad.
