When my hunger hits hard and fast, a quick and delicious beef stir-fry is my absolute savior. It’s packed with flavor and always satisfies my cravings without much fuss.
Speedy Beef and Broccoli Stir-fry
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- Cooked rice for serving
Steps
- 1. In a bowl, toss sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- 2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Stir-fry beef in batches until browned, then remove.
- 3. Add remaining 1 tbsp olive oil to the wok. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
- 4. Return beef to the wok. Pour in remaining 1 tbsp soy sauce, sesame oil, and beef broth. Toss to coat and heat through. Serve immediately over cooked rice.
