On a mellow afternoon, a warm berry crumble is just what I need. It’s simple, sweet, and reminds me of slow summer days back home.
Easy Berry Crumble
Ingredients
- 4 cups mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar (for topping)
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed (for topping)
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (for topping)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, gently toss berries with granulated sugar and cornstarch. Pour into an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter with your fingers or a pastry blender until crumbly.
- Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over the berries. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. Serve warm.
