Whenever I share a batch of freshly baked empanadas with friends, I feel incredibly grateful. It’s a simple food that brings people together and spreads joy.

Classic Beef Empanadas

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 16 pre-made empanada discs

Steps

  1. Brown ground beef and onion in a pan. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in beef broth, paprika, and cumin. Simmer until liquid is reduced.
  3. Spoon filling onto each empanada disc, fold, and crimp edges with a fork.
  4. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
