Beef Empanadas
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 (10 oz) package empanada dough discs
- 1 egg, beaten
Steps
- Sauté onion and bell pepper in olive oil. Add ground beef and cook until browned, drain fat.
- Stir in cumin and paprika. Season with salt and pepper. Let cool completely.
- Spoon filling onto one half of each empanada disc. Fold over and crimp edges with a fork.
- Brush tops with beaten egg. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
