Hearty Beef Chili
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans (15 oz) kidney beans, rinsed
- 1 packet chili seasoning mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- Shredded cheese for topping
Steps
- Brown ground beef in a large pot, drain fat.
- Add onion and bell pepper, cook until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, chili seasoning, and beef broth.
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook, covered, for at least 1 hour.
- Serve hot, topped with shredded cheese and sour cream if desired.
