Homemade Falafel Wraps with Tahini Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp coriander
- 2 tbsp flour
- Oil for frying
- Pita bread
- Chopped lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber
- Tahini sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Steps
- 1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, and flour. Process until coarse but still chunky. Form into small patties.
- 2. Heat about 1 inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry falafel patties for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- 3. Warm pita bread. Fill each pita with falafel patties, chopped lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber.
- 4. Drizzle generously with tahini sauce. Serve immediately.
