A simple bowl of miso soup always brings me a sense of peace and calm. It’s light, warming, and just feels good for the soul.

Traditional Miso Soup

15 minutes • Easy

Ingredients

  • 4 cups dashi broth
  • 3 tbsp miso paste
  • 4 oz firm tofu, cubed
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup dried wakame seaweed

Steps

  1. Rehydrate wakame seaweed in water for 5 minutes, then drain.
  2. Heat dashi broth in a pot until simmering, do not boil.
  3. Dissolve miso paste in a small amount of warm dashi, then add back to the pot.
  4. Add tofu, wakame, and green onions. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then serve.
