When the weather turns chilly or I’m feeling a bit under the weather, a warm bowl of miso soup instantly brings me comfort. It’s simple, yet so deeply satisfying.
Classic Miso Soup
Ingredients
- 4 cups dashi broth
- 3 tbsp miso paste
- 4 oz silken tofu, cubed
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
Steps
- Heat dashi broth in a saucepan until simmering.
- Remove from heat, dissolve miso paste in a small amount of broth, then add back to the pan.
- Gently add tofu cubes and return to low heat, do not boil.
- Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions and nori strips.
