There’s something incredibly calming about a simple bowl of miso soup. When I need to find my zen, its warm, savory flavors always bring me peace.

Traditional Miso Soup

20 minutes • Easy

Ingredients

  • Dashi stock
  • Miso paste
  • Tofu
  • Wakame seaweed
  • Green onions

Steps

  1. Gently heat dashi stock in a pot until simmering.
  2. In a small bowl, dissolve miso paste with a ladleful of warm dashi, then return to the pot.
  3. Add cubed tofu and rehydrated wakame seaweed, simmering gently for a few minutes (do not boil).
  4. Serve immediately, garnished with thinly sliced green onions.
