There’s nothing quite like the joy of a braai, especially when we’re grilling peri-peri chicken. It’s all about good company, sunshine, and delicious food that makes my spirit soar.

Grace's Speedy Peri-Peri Chicken

1 hour (plus marinating) • Easy

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs or drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup peri-peri sauce (store-bought)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Salt and pepper

Steps

  1. Score chicken pieces. Marinate chicken in peri-peri sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and juices run clear.
  3. During the last few minutes, grill lemon halves cut-side down until charred.
  4. Serve hot with grilled lemon and extra peri-peri sauce if desired.
