When I need a moment of peace, I brew a pot of Moroccan mint tea. It’s a small ritual that brings tranquility to my day.

Authentic Moroccan Mint Tea

15 minutes • Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp gunpowder green tea
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 bunch fresh mint leaves
  • 2-4 tbsp granulated sugar (to taste)

Steps

  1. Rinse the green tea leaves with a splash of boiling water in a teapot, then discard the water.
  2. Add the fresh mint leaves and sugar to the teapot with the rinsed tea leaves.
  3. Pour 4 cups of boiling water over the ingredients. Let steep for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Stir gently and pour the tea into small glasses from a height to create a frothy top. Serve warm.
