HungryUSASushi Rolls

When my hunger pangs hit hard, I always crave fresh sushi rolls. It’s so satisfying, clean, and feels like a little treat!

Easy California Rolls

40 minutes • Medium

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice, cooked and seasoned
  • 4 sheets nori seaweed
  • 1 large avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, cut into thin strips
  • 8 imitation crab sticks (surimi), halved lengthwise
  • Soy sauce and wasabi for serving
  • Bamboo rolling mat

Steps

  1. Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo rolling mat. Spread about 1/2 cup of seasoned sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
  2. Arrange avocado, cucumber, and crab sticks horizontally across the center of the rice.
  3. Carefully roll the nori tightly from the bottom edge using the bamboo mat, pressing firmly to keep the roll together. Moisten the top border with a little water to seal.
  4. Slice the roll into 6-8 pieces using a sharp, wet knife. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
