Decadent Chocolate Lava Cake
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz good quality dark chocolate (chopped)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease and flour two 6-ounce ramekins.
- Melt butter and chocolate together in a microwave or double boiler until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually whisk in the melted chocolate mixture.
- Gently fold in the flour and salt until just combined. Divide batter evenly between the prepared ramekins.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still soft and jiggly. Invert onto plates and serve immediately.
