Quick Chocolate Lava Cakes
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease and flour four 6-ounce ramekins.
- Melt butter and chocolate together in a microwave or double boiler. Stir until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until pale. Gradually whisk in the chocolate mixture, then fold in flour until just combined.
- Divide batter among ramekins. Bake for 12-14 minutes, until edges are set but the center is still jiggly. Invert onto plates and serve immediately.
