Brazilian Style Grilled Steak (Churrasco)
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs sirloin steak or picanha
- Coarse sea salt
- Black pepper
- Olive oil
- Chimichurri sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Grilled vegetables for serving
Steps
- Pat steak dry. Season generously with coarse sea salt and black pepper on all sides.
- Preheat grill to high heat. Brush steak lightly with olive oil.
- Grill steak for 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. For picanha, grill fat side down first.
- Remove from grill, tent with foil, and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain. Serve with chimichurri and grilled vegetables.
