Classic Cheesy Grilled Cheese
Ingredients
- 2 slices bread
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp butter, softened
- Optional: a slice of tomato or ham
Steps
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Top with cheese (and optional fillings), then cover with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes per side, or until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly. Slice diagonally and serve warm.
