Spicy Tom Yum Goong

Ingredients

  • Shrimp
  • Mushrooms
  • Lemongrass
  • Galangal
  • Kaffir lime leaves
  • Fish sauce
  • Lime juice
  • Chili paste (Nam Prik Pao)
  • Fresh cilantro

Steps

  1. Bring water or chicken broth to a boil. Add bruised lemongrass stalks, sliced galangal, and kaffir lime leaves.
  2. Add mushrooms and shrimp, cooking until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  3. Stir in fish sauce, lime juice, and chili paste to taste. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro leaves.
