Classic Ukrainian Borscht

Ingredients

  • 3 large beets
  • 1/2 head cabbage
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 6 cups beef broth

Steps

  1. Sauté chopped onions and carrots.
  2. Add diced beets and cabbage, cook briefly.
  3. Pour in beef broth, add potatoes, simmer until vegetables are tender.
  4. Season and serve warm with a dollop of sour cream.
