Simple Potato and Cheese Pierogi
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 cup farmer's cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onion, caramelized
- Salt and pepper to taste

- 1. Combine flour, water, egg, and salt to form a dough; knead until smooth and let rest. 2. Mix mashed potatoes, farmer's cheese, caramelized onion, salt, and pepper for filling.
- 2. Roll out dough, cut into circles, place a spoonful of filling on each, fold, and crimp edges.
- 3. Boil pierogi in salted water until they float, then pan-fry with butter and onions until golden.
