Classic Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 4 potatoes, quartered
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix

Steps

  1. Place beef roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Surround with potatoes, carrots, and onion.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together beef broth and onion soup mix, then pour over the roast and vegetables.
  4. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until beef is very tender. Shred and serve.
