Authentic Pad Thai
Ingredients
- 8 oz rice noodles
- 1/2 lb shrimp or chicken
- 2 tbsp tamarind paste
- 3 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp palm sugar
- 1 egg
Steps
- Soak rice noodles until pliable, then drain.
- Sauté shrimp/chicken in a wok. Push to one side, add egg and scramble.
- Add noodles, tamarind paste, fish sauce, and palm sugar. Stir-fry well.
- Serve with crushed peanuts, lime wedges, and bean sprouts.
