After a really long day at work, all I crave is a big bowl of warm dal makhani with some rice. It just melts away all the stress.

Simple Dal Makhani

Ingredients

  • 1 cup black lentils (urad dal)
  • 1/4 cup kidney beans
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup cream

Steps

  1. Soak lentils and kidney beans overnight, then boil until tender.
  2. Sauté onion, ginger-garlic paste, and tomato puree with spices.
  3. Add boiled lentils and beans to the pan, simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Stir in cream, garnish with cilantro, and serve hot.
