Quick Chicken Biryani
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken pieces
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp biryani paste
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Steps
- Marinate chicken with biryani paste and yogurt for 30 minutes.
- Sauté sliced onion until golden. Add marinated chicken and cook for 10-15 minutes.
- In a separate pot, cook basmati rice until 70% done. Layer rice over chicken.
- Cover tightly and cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes until chicken is tender and rice is cooked. Garnish with cilantro.
