Creamy Homemade Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 can (400g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tahini
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup ice cold water
- 2 tbsp olive oil (plus more for garnish)
- Salt to taste
- Pita bread for serving
Steps
- Combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, ice water, and salt in a food processor. Process until very smooth.
- While processing, drizzle in 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Continue blending until creamy.
- Spoon into a serving bowl, drizzle with extra olive oil, and serve with warm pita bread.
