After a busy day, preparing kofta with fresh herbs makes me feel so satisfied. It’s a meal that’s full of flavor and always hits the spot.

Simple Lamb Kofta

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers (if grilling)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly by hand until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small oval patties or shape them around wooden skewers.
  3. Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat, or a skillet with a little oil over medium heat.
  4. Cook kofta for 3-5 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with rice, pita bread, or a fresh salad.
