On a lazy Sunday morning, making a batch of sweet crêpes with my family is my favorite way to relax. It’s simple, delicious, and brings smiles.

Basic Sweet Crêpes

20 minutes • Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp melted butter, plus more for pan

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, eggs, milk, water, salt, and melted butter until smooth. The batter should be thin. Let rest for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Heat a lightly buttered 8-inch non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the hot skillet, tilting to coat the bottom evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes until edges are golden.
  4. Flip and cook for another 30 seconds to 1 minute. Remove and repeat with remaining batter.
  5. Serve warm with your favorite fillings like Nutella, fruit, or sugar.
