Taking a moment for myself to just be calm. A warm, spicy chai tea latte is my little ritual for finding peace in the afternoon.

Homemade Chai Latte

15 minutes • Easy

Ingredients

  • Black tea bags
  • Water
  • Milk
  • Cinnamon stick
  • Cardamom pods
  • Honey or sugar

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water, black tea bags, a cinnamon stick, and a few crushed cardamom pods.
  2. Bring to a simmer and let steep for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add milk and honey (or sugar) to taste. Heat until warm, but do not boil.
  4. Strain the mixture into a mug and enjoy your calming chai latte.
