Traditional Miso Soup
Ingredients
- 4 cups dashi broth
- 3 tbsp miso paste
- 1/2 block silken tofu, cubed
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 sheet nori, cut into thin strips
Steps
- Heat dashi broth in a pot until just simmering, do not boil.
- In a small bowl, whisk miso paste with a little hot dashi until smooth. Add back to the pot, stirring gently.
- Add cubed tofu and cook for 2-3 minutes to warm through. Do not boil after adding miso.
- Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions and nori strips.
