Quick Chicken Pho Broth
Ingredients
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 inch ginger, sliced
- 1 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- Cooked chicken, shredded
- Rice noodles, cooked
- Fresh cilantro, basil, lime wedges, bean sprouts for garnish
Steps
- In a pot, combine chicken broth, ginger, star anise, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes to infuse flavors.
- Strain the broth to remove solids. Stir in fish sauce. Keep warm.
- Divide cooked rice noodles and shredded chicken into bowls. Ladle hot broth over top.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro, basil, lime wedges, and bean sprouts.
