Classic Pork Schnitzel
Ingredients
- 2 boneless pork cutlets
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Steps
- Pound pork cutlets thin (about 1/4 inch). Season with salt and pepper.
- Set up a breading station: flour, beaten egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each cutlet in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs, pressing gently to coat.
- Heat 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry schnitzels for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
