Decadent Chocolate Lava Cakes
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Butter and flour 4 ramekins.
- Melt butter and chocolate together in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth. Let cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually whisk in the chocolate mixture.
- Fold in flour and salt until just combined. Divide batter among prepared ramekins.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until edges are set but the center is still jiggly. Let cool for 1 minute, then invert onto plates. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
