Sometimes when I’m deep in thought, I just need a comforting cup of chai and a couple of crispy samosas. It’s a perfect combination for quiet contemplation.

Simple Potato Samosas

Ingredients

  • Potatoes
  • Peas
  • All-purpose flour
  • Ghee or oil
  • Cumin seeds
  • Garam masala
  • Salt
  • Water

Steps

  1. Prepare a firm dough with flour, a little ghee/oil, and water; let it rest.
  2. Boil and mash potatoes, then sauté them with peas, cumin seeds, garam masala, and salt for the filling.
  3. Roll out small portions of dough, cut in half, form into cones, fill with potato mixture, and seal into triangles.
  4. Deep-fry the samosas in hot oil until they are golden brown and crispy.
