Nonna's Simple Bolognese

Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Canned crushed tomatoes
  • Onion
  • Carrot
  • Celery
  • Red wine
  • Olive oil
  • Spaghetti
  • Parmesan cheese

Steps

  1. Sauté chopped onion, carrot, and celery in olive oil until soft. Add ground beef and brown.
  2. Drain excess fat, then add red wine and reduce. Stir in crushed tomatoes and simmer for at least 90 minutes.
  3. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  4. Serve sauce over spaghetti, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
