On a particularly chilly evening, there’s nothing I crave more than a big, gooey plate of poutine. The warm gravy and melted cheese curds are just what I need to feel cozy and satisfied. It’s pure comfort!

Classic Poutine

Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen french fries
  • 2 cups beef gravy
  • 1 cup fresh cheese curds
  • Salt to taste

Steps

  1. Cook french fries according to package directions until golden and crispy.
  2. While fries are cooking, heat gravy in a small saucepan until simmering.
  3. Place hot fries in a serving bowl, top with cheese curds.
  4. Pour hot gravy over the fries and curds, allowing cheese to melt slightly. Serve immediately.
