Whenever I want to feel instantly happy, I treat myself to mango sticky rice. Its sweetness and tropical flavor always bring a smile to my face.

Easy Mango Sticky Rice

30 minutes • Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • Pinch of salt

Steps

  1. Cook glutinous rice until tender (steamer or rice cooker).
  2. In a saucepan, heat coconut milk, sugar, and salt until sugar dissolves.
  3. Pour half of the coconut sauce over the cooked rice and mix well; let stand for 10 minutes.
  4. Peel and slice mangoes. Serve warm sticky rice with fresh mango slices and drizzle with remaining coconut sauce.
