Exams are looming, and I’m feeling the pressure. Baking a batch of warm chocolate chip cookies is my go-to stress reliever – the smell alone helps!
Classic Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Steps
- Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda, then gradually add to wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips. Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet and bake at 190C (375F) for 9-11 minutes until edges are golden.
