A simple platter of creamy hummus and warm pita bread always brings me a sense of peace. It’s light, fresh, and perfect for sharing.

Homemade Hummus

15 minutes • Easy

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • Salt to taste

Steps

  1. Combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, and cumin in a food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth, adding 1-2 tablespoons of water if needed for desired consistency.
  3. Season with salt to taste. Transfer to a bowl.
  4. Drizzle with extra olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika before serving with pita bread.
