Traditional Miso Soup
Ingredients
- 4 cups dashi (fish stock)
- 1/4 cup miso paste
- 4 oz silken tofu, cubed
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 sheet nori, cut into small strips
Steps
- Heat dashi in a pot until just simmering. Do not boil.
- Remove a small amount of dashi and dissolve miso paste in it. Return to the pot and stir well.
- Add tofu and cook for 2-3 minutes, without boiling, to warm through.
- Ladle into bowls and garnish with green onions and nori strips. Serve immediately.
